I’m Shellie Crow, E-RYT 500, YACEP.
I began teaching yoga in 2008. I have been teaching hatha yoga classes on Saturday mornings at Eternal Health Yoga in Louisville, Kentucky since 2013. In 2016 I was invited to be an instructor in Eternal Health’s Yoga Teacher Training Program. I have trained yoga teachers in yoga philosophy, the chakras, the koshas, yoga and intersectionality, and more! I’m a regular contributor to the EHY blog. In addition to yoga, I hold certification in Alchemical Astrology and Advanced Chakra Therapeutics. Because of my interest in yoga and social justice, I am proud to be a council member of the Phoenix Rising Project, a scholarship committee for Alanna Kaivalya’s online yoga teacher training program.
I began practicing yoga as a young teen in the early 2000’s. At the time, I was in poor health: physically, emotionally, and most of all, spiritually. The simple yoga poses and breathing techniques I was introduced to through a teen girl magazine made me feel better. This sparked my initial curiosity about the practice and began what would be my life-long dedication to discovering what living a yogic life meant for me as a modern Western woman.
Yoga set me on a path that encouraged me to live more deeply with awareness and authenticity. For me, however, Yoga was just the beginning. It opened the door to formally studying mystical practices from Tarot and astrology to the lives and teachings of Catholic saints and Pagan deities alike!
Today, I teach yoga practitioners to deepen their practice and realize their most authentic self through Western mystical studies. I offer two tracks: one for personal exploration and one for teachers and healers who would like to share mysticism with others.
Yoga is a journey. There are twists and turns, good days and bad days. We don’t have to walk the road alone.
I would love to hear about your journey and discuss how we can work together in order for you to take your next step.
